Developing a collection of Chamber Music for both familiar and non-standard forces has been a thread running throughout Nigel Morgan’s work for many years. This Guide brings together mainly those works for the standard chamber music scorings organised into pages featuring quartets, trios and duos, with an additional and separate satellite guide for solo strings with and without accompaniment.

Here you can download a guide to a selection of Nigel Morgan's chamber music assembled from works written over the last 30 years. The guide has been prepared for performers, teachers and students to give an overview to the unique opportunities that these scores offer in a wide range of performance situations.

The Guide to New Chamber Music presents introductory descriptions and sample score pages of a selection of scores written since 1972. It has a link to a ‘satellite’ Guide that features music for Music for Solo Strings (with and without accompaniment). These Guides are designed for viewing in PDF format with Acrobat Reader or Preview on a computer linked to the Internet. This enables the reader to have instant access to the extensive interpretation material, reference and performance recordings, and downloadable study scores available on the composer's website.
